You Want to Know

Most project go/no-go decisions come down to a basic return on investment calculation.  Does the cost to bring the product to market make sense when compared to the revenue it can generate?  It usually is that simple.  But predicting the timeline for complex development projects is very difficult,  and therefore establishing the development cost component of the ROI calculation can be difficult.

Everyone has experienced the cost overruns associated with a project that takes significantly longer to finish than originally planned.

How We Do It

We're not super human - the model makes it work.  We understand our costs and our own resources extremely well which is a key to our mutual success. We typically schedule payments to occur upon an event or "milestone". As the name implies,  a milestone is a marker along the development path that allow both sides to measure the progress of the project, and verify that it is meeting your expectations (as well as our own) at every phase of the process.

This methodology helps us manage our work flow by breaking a marathon development cycle into several coordinated sprints.

Most projects tend to change shape during the course of development. New features are requested and new capabilities become necessary to stay current with the market. When such changes effect our cost model, we negotiate with our clients to adjust for those changes.

The Value of Product

The Value of Product

Because we have the experience of developing a wide range of products in the professional audio market,  such as large scale DSP and embedded PC based mixing consoles, computer interfaces and control surfaces,  audio production,   recording and editing systems and software applications we are capable of delivering these technologies much faster than many engineering teams that first need to do extensive research before going into full development.  Unlike many contract engineering resources,  SaneWave excels at providing complete solutions.  As opposed to the "hire a temporary engineer" philosophy of many of our peers,  the SaneWave engineers operate as a multi-functional team as well as an extension of your engineering resources where applicable.
